  • Starting CrossFit in 2010 while finishing my bachelor’s degree in physical therapy, I discovered discrepancies between physiotherapy concepts and CrossFit principles, like the debated squat depth rule (“Do not squat below 90°...”). This sparked my curiosity to explore training and therapy concepts outside of Switzerland. Kelly Starrett with his self-treatment techniques and mobility exercises against pain was one of the first therapists who significantly expanded my understanding of therapy and training, particularly for CrossFit athletes.

A personal event that strongly influenced my path as a therapist was a severe horse-riding accident in my youth, causing a concussion and long-term issues like memory loss, difficulty concentrating, vision problems, as well as persistent neck and shoulder pain. Despite intensive physiotherapy over the years and during my own education, my symptoms barely changed. It wasn't until 15 years later that I discovered Z-Health Neuro Athletics (by Dr. Eric Cobb) that I achieved significant improvements in my symptoms. This approach views the brain as the central control system for pain and movement, and targets the nervous system for treatment, instead of “only” working the muscles and joints of the body.

Today, I combine my knowledge from manual therapy and functional training with insights from applied neurology to offer my patients individual and effective treatment options. I am a Dry Needling expert, work with patients from all ages and sports backgrounds to tackle pain and movement problems, and I accompany concussion patients on their path to recovery.

When I am not in my role as pain detective, I love to explore the world, discover new places, and get to know different cultures and cuisines. The next adventure is juuuust around the corner :)

“Pain is an action signal, inviting change! Let’s work together to get you back to training and living pain-free!”
